What We Did

The Historic Church of the Good Shepherd in Tryon, North Carolina, is a very special church with a history dating back to the 1800s. At the turn of the 20th century a supporter from the town’s segregated, majority-culture Episcopal church, Holy Cross, established a Sunday school in Tryon to educate Black children.

Over time this became the wonderful, intimate church that exists today. This group of people love one another and their community deeply. It was an honor to give them an updated website so that they can communicate that love to the people of Tryon.
